The achievements are split up between beating single-player and reaching milestones in multiplayer. Perfect dark zero install#The game requires 4.9 GB of space to install on a Xbox 360 HDD and comes with 50 achievements worth 1000 gamerscore. (However, some multiplayer mechanics from the previous game, such as Counter-Ops Mode, customizable characters, multiplayer challenges, and multiplayer unlockables are absent in this game). The game also adds online multiplayer for up to 32 players (or bots), featuring eight distinct game modes. Prequel to Perfect Dark for the Nintendo 64 and an Xbox 360 launch title, Perfect Dark Zero adds and changes many gameplay mechanics from the previous game, including weapon-based running speed, a third-person cover system, slight health regeneration, a limited slot-based weapon inventory system, tertiary weapon functions (for some weapons), a dedicated melee button, combat rolling, and a campaign checkpoint system. ![]() Perfect Dark Zero is a first-person shooter developed by Rare and published by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 on November 18, 2005. You may enjoy it as much as I did, and even if you won't, it's definitely worth the try.Overview Joanna Dark, the game's main protagonist, as a freelance bounty hunter. You can find the game for cheap nowadays (especially since it was included into the Rare Replay collection) so my suggestion would be to buy it and give it a shot. David Clynick wrote a new main theme which is pretty good and he wove it pretty much everywhere into the score, which made it feel compact and added a sense of familiarity into the game. I'm very fond of the original game's soundtrack (there is one track from PD which was reorchestrated and used in the PDZ menu, but I won't spoil which one, whereas the original Carrington Institute theme is reprised at a key point as well), but this one was enjoyable too. The story is somewhat lacklustre (the one in PD, although fairly simple, was way more engaging), but the music is pretty good. ![]() There are several multiplayer modes, and some of them are quite creative and fun. Also I love the fact that you can choose your own equipment, not only the weapons but the gadgets too, and you'll have to plan a different strategy according to the gadget you choose, adding some variety to the game. ![]() The fact you can carry along only two weapons (or up to 4 if they're small) may be underwhelming at first, though I got used to it and it made the game more interesting as it had me think on what to take and what to leave. But I liked the fact that while a few objectives are not required to complete the mission they may make things easier for you, so it's up to you whether you will complete them or not. It is not as good as the original, and I felt that PD was somewhat richer (for example PD had counter-op campaign, unlockable cheats, shooting range, a wider multiplayer customization), and I liked the fact that each level in PD had 3, 4 and 5 objectives depending on the difficulty, whereas in PDZ the number of objectives varies and a higher difficulty does not always add new objectives or new areas. ![]()
